With Flux, Argo CD and Kubernetes we can simply implement GitOps principles and use them for our workloads. Or can we implement a custom operator instead of using Argo CD and Flux? Those who want to implement GitOps are by no means forced to use Kubernetes, as the principles are universal and do not exclude any application platform per se. In this talk, we intend to show the implications of the GitOps principles according to OpenGitOps. We will also show how easy it is to build a custom operator for GitOps for Ansible.
